Lakewood Branch Library

Schooley Caldwell designed the transformation of leased space in the Arrowhead Plaza into a vibrant new branch library for the Licking County Library system.

The new branch library is organized to support a wide range of users. At its core, the design introduces a welcoming entry sequence and a help desk to orient visitors and provide immediate access to staff support. Separate collection areas serve both children and teens/adults, ensuring age-appropriate spaces that encourage exploration and focused learning.

A 49-seat meeting room offers flexible space for community gatherings, programs, and educational events, while a staff workroom improves efficiency behind the scenes.
